Friendly and professional tour, and the scenery is spectacular.

If you want to explore Tibet on a tour with dedicated, knowledgable and friendly local people who have passion for their homeland, I would highly recommend Adventures in Tibet Agency!!!
Based on their very positive tripadvisor reviews, we booked 8 days Everest Base Camp tour and used them to arrange Tibet Permit, book all the hotels we wanted and all the administrave things, which are not easy to organise in Tibet. The Agency went out of his way to create a specialised private tour for our family just for us at the price we wanted – which was better priced as equivalent of a large Chinese tour operator.

I found the service and response of this travel agency to be excellent. Easily 5-stars. My emails were promptly responded by Norbu, all the requirements were fullfilled and everyone showed up when they were supposed to.

Both the guide and driver were friendly and courteous. We were also very happy with our guide Dhongup spoke excellent English and had vivid sence of humour. We have truly enjoyed the trip and had a great laugh with them.

In Lhasa we stayed in Shambala Palace, located in very heart of the city, close to Jokhang Temple. We would highly recommend staying there, as You will feel there an authenticity and exceptionality of this wonderfull city.

In Shigatse we had Gesar Hotel, which is very good, with rich breakfast served, but far away from the city center, which is also very recommended to see, esp. market for souvenirs.

We were fortunate to see Mt.Everest although it was cloudy on arrival! Staying in the tent at EBC was just a wonderful experience to be hosted by a Tibetan nomad family. It was cold outside but the tents get nice and warm with a fireplace, free served tea and local warm food.

We are very thankful to Norbu Tsering for an outstanding organisation, Tashi Dhondup for an adventurous guidance, Tsewang for a safe driving through mountains and Adventures in all Tibet Agency for this unforgettable tour!

Dear Laura & Family, we would heartedly thanking you for the kind words and service evaluation. We are much happy that you had enjoyed your trip in Tibet. We will remember you (such a lovely family) in Tibet forever!

It helps a lot that the Proprietor, Norbu responds to every e-mail quickly. He answered all my questions and made sure our itinerary was ironed out in no time. Our guide, Karma, was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay worth while. At that altitude, it’s easy to lose your bearings and even your interest in the sites because of headache, nausea and generalized weakness. But because our guide was aware of that possibility and sensitive enough to care, we dealt with it (with oxygen canisters and a pace slow enough for acclimatization). He also helped us whenever we purchased souvenirs as most of the sales people in stores spoke no English. The vehicle we used going to Shigatse was clean, modern and adequate to withstand the terrain. Our driver was also very good and knowledgeable. They accommodated my request to pass by a certain place, not in our itinerary, so I can purchase a particular souvenir. All in all, this company certainly did a stellar job and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends.
