travel to Syabrubesi via the scenic routes of Trishuli and Nuwakot. This drive offers beautiful landscapes and is the gateway to your Kailash Yatra journey. Cross the Nepal-Tibet border and drive to Kerung, Tibet’s first village. Visit the local monastery and acclimatize to the altitude (2700m). This stop is essential to prepare for the altitude challenges ahead as you head toward Mount Kailash.

Drive through high hills on a comfortable road to Saga (4500m), crossing the Thong La and La Lung passes.

Start your journey to Lake Manasarovar, the sacred victory lake of Ngari. Along the way, cross rivers and the Mayumla Pass (4600m), offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas and wildlife on the Tibetan plateau.

Celebrate Guru Poornima, the full moon day, with a special group Puja at Lake Manasarovar. After the ceremony, drive to Dharchen, the starting point of the Kailash Kora (circumambulation). En route, stop at Tirthapuri (4310m), a sacred site.

Begin your Kailash Kora by taking an eco-bus to the first Prostration Point at Dharpoche (Yamadur). Then, start your trek to Driraphuk Gompa (4690m), passing through sacred sites like Choku Gompa. This part of the trek offers stunning views of Mount Kailash.

Time: Approx. 7 hours

Trek to Charansparsh, the North Face of Mount Kailash, a significant spiritual location for pilgrims. This is the holiest day of the Kailash Yatra, though the trek can be challenging due to the altitude.

This is the toughest section of your Kailash Parikrama, ascending to Dolma La Pass (5630m). Here, many pilgrims leave behind offerings. Afterward, descend to Zultrul Puk, passing Gauri Kund.

Time: Approx. 8 hours
Overnight: Guesthouse at Zultrul Puk.
Complete the Kailash Kora by walking from Zutrulphuk to Zongdu (8km). This marks the end of the pilgrimage circuit. From here, drive back to Saga.

After breakfast, drive to the Kyirong Border, complete immigration procedures, and continue to Kathmandu (175km). In the evening, we’ll host a Farewell Party, presenting certificates and offering cultural entertainment and dinner.

The best time to undertake the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is during the months of May to September, when the weather is more favorable and the trekking conditions are less harsh. This period is ideal for completing the Kailash Yatra and Kailash Parikrama.
Yes, all pilgrims need a Tibet Travel Permit to undertake the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. This permit is arranged by our team, and we will handle the necessary documentation, including your Tibet Group Visa. You will also need to bring a valid passport and passport-size photos.
While the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a spiritual journey, it requires a certain level of physical fitness, especially for the Kailash Parikrama. You will be trekking at high altitudes (up to 5630m) and need to be prepared for long days of walking, especially during the challenging sections like the trek to Dolma La Pass.
The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra lasts approximately 14 days. The Kailash Kora (circumambulation) around Mount Kailash takes about 4 days, covering around 52 kilometers including Charansparsh (Touch Kailash). The entire journey, including visits to sacred sites and acclimatization stops, spans about 500 kilometers in total, offering pilgrims a spiritually enriching experience.
During the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, accommodation varies between guesthouses, basic hotels, and camping sites. You will stay in modest accommodations throughout the journey, including near Lake Manasarovar and during the Kailash Kora trek.
