Pilgrims circumambulate the lake during auspicious times; a journey which takes almost a month as Namtso Lake is 70km long and 30km wide. Namtso is the highest salt lake on earth and the second largest salt lake in China (the largest being Qinghai Lake in Qinghai Province).

Camp, lodging is typically more basic, such as guesthouses or tent camps. At Namtso Lake, we will stay in Ship hotel which is very nice.
The best time for this tour is from April to October. During these months, the weather is mild, and the roads are accessible, allowing for clear views of Mount Everest and pleasant conditions at Namtso Lake. However, evenings and nights can still be cold, especially at higher altitudes.
The tour includes high-altitude destinations such as Lhasa (3,650m), Everest Base Camp (5,150m), and Namtso Lake (4,718m). To prepare, stay hydrated, avoid alcohol, and allow time for acclimatization in Lhasa before heading to higher altitudes. Your guide will monitor your health and provide advice to manage altitude sickness symptoms if they arise.
