Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa

Upon arrival, our team will welcome you and transfer you to a comfortable hotel near Barkhor Street. Take the rest of the day to relax and acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day 2: Lhasa Sightseeing

Explore Lhasa’s most iconic sites, including the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and the vibrant Barkhor Street. Immerse yourself in Tibetan culture and history before resting at your hotel.

Day 3: Warm-Up Ride Around Lhasa (Kyichu River)

Enjoy a warm-up cycling session around Lhasa and along the scenic Kyichu River, helping your body adjust to the altitude. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Tibetan dinner at a cultural restaurant and receive a briefing on the upcoming adventure.

Day 4: Lhasa – Nagartze (Ride 45 km)

We begin our journey with vehicle support and drive 100 km to Khamba La Pass (4794m), offering breathtaking views of the crocodile-shaped Yamdrok Lake. From there, we start cycling along the lake towards Nagartze, a traditional Tibetan fishing town.

Overnight: Camp near the lake.

Day 5: Nagartze – Gyantse (Ride 70 km)

Ride towards Karo La Pass (5010m), passing through stunning valleys, villages, and the massive Machen Gangsang Glacier.

Overnight: Camp in a picturesque location near Gyantse.

Day 6: Gyantse – Shigatse – Tso La (Ride 33 km)

In the morning, visit Gyantse Dzong (fort) and the Kumbum Monastery. Then, drive to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city, where we explore the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery. After lunch, cycle 33 km on a scenic route towards Tso La Pass.

Overnight: Camp below the pass.

Day 7: Tso La – Lhatse (Ride 70 km)

Enjoy a full day of cycling on smooth roads, maintaining an altitude of over 4,000m. Pass through beautiful valleys.

Overnight: Camp just beyond Lhatse town or stay in hotel

Day 8: Lhatse – Rongphu (Ride 40 km)

Drive up to Gyatso La Pass (5248m), the highest paved pass in Tibet. Continue towards Pang La Pass, which offers breathtaking views of Mt. Everest. From here, cycle downhill to Tashizong before driving to Rongphu Monastery (5000m)—the world’s highest monastery.

Overnight: Stay overnight at a monastery hotel or camp.

Day 9: Rongphu – Everest Base Camp – Old Dingri (Ride 36 km)

Start your day with a 6 km ride to Everest Base Camp (EBC), where you’ll take in spectacular sunrise views of the world’s highest peak. After exploring the area, cycle towards Old Dingri via a scenic trail.

Overnight: Guesthouse or camp.

Day 10: Tingri – Lalung La (Ride 70 km)

Cycle through traditional Tibetan villages, grasslands, and ancient fort ruins, with stunning Himalayan views along the way.

Overnight: Camp near the remote village of Sumo.

Day 11: Lalung La – Shishabangma (Ride 75 km)

Today’s ride includes two challenging passes: Lalung La Pass (4850m) and Shishabangma area and Pegu Tso Lake (4200m).

Overnight: Camp near the Pegu Tso Lake.

Ride to Kyirong town via Gongthang la (5236)

Overnight: Hotel in Kyirong

Day 13: Transfer to Kathmandu

Drive 25 km to the border and transfer to Kathmandu.
