Day 1: Arrive at Lhasa

Welcome to the spiritual heart of Tibet! Upon arrival in Lhasa, you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Take the evening to relax and acclimatize to the altitude.

Day 2: Explore Lhasa’s Iconic Landmarks

Begin your journey through the ancient city of Lhasa with a visit to the majestic Potala Palace, an architectural marvel that once housed Tibet’s Dalai Lama and served as the political center of Tibet. Then, explore the revered Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s holiest site, founded in the 7th century by Chinese princess Wenchen. End your day with a stroll along Barkhor Street, where pilgrims and locals alike come to shop and engage in spiritual rituals.

Day 3: Monastery Tour & Spiritual Sites around Lhasa

Wander through the peaceful courtyards of Drepung, once home to 10,000 monks, and witness the lively debates among monks at Sera Monastery. Day 4: Journey to Bayi / Nyingtri

After breakfast, set out for the beautiful Nyingtri (Linzhi) region, passing through the spectacular Mila Pass at 5150 meters. The road winds through towering mountains and lush valleys as you make your way to Bayi town, where you will finalize any required permits for the journey ahead.

Day 5: Draksum Tso & Khading Valley

Today, drive to the sacred Draksum Tso Lake, surrounded by forests and snow-capped peaks. Visit the tranquil Tsokzong Monastery, located on an island in the lake, before heading to Khading Valley, a serene spot known for its picturesque views and peaceful atmosphere. Return to Bayi town in the evening.

Day 6: Scenic Journey to Pomi

Start your day with a visit to the ancient Cypress Tree near Bayi, estimated to be over 2000 years old. Day 7: Rawok Lake & Lhegu Glacier Adventure

Day 11: Visit Samye Monastery & Chimpu Hermitage
